On Saturday evening there was a dramatic traffic accident on the A63 towards Kaiserslautern. A 58-year-old man stopped on the hard shoulder with a technical defect, which led to a closure of the right lane. While the police secured the danger point, a 22-year-old driver noticed too late that the vehicles braked in front of him. In a desperate evasive maneuver, he crashed into the securing radio patrol car with full force.

The chaos never ended: the car caused by the person who caused the accident began to burn in the engine compartment! The brave police officers quickly intervened and extinguished the flames before worse. The driver was brought to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, while his car and the police car were significantly damaged.
