Help for young people: JBA Plus in the Birkenfeld district strengthens future opportunities

The Youth Employment Agency Plus (JBA Plus) in the Birkenfeld district is committed to giving young people between the ages of 15 and 25 a helping hand. How Antenna KH reports, the focus is on supporting the return to school, training or a stable living environment. The focus is on trust and understanding in order to take young people's potential concerns and challenges seriously.

Many young people in particular are struggling with problems such as a lack of school qualifications or family difficulties. Marie Schilling, job scout for JBA Plus, describes that it often takes months for these young people to start standing up for themselves. She emphasizes that small steps, such as attending school or doing an internship, can make big changes.

Community and support

An international youth football tournament in which five teams competed was a special moment for the young people. Such events not only promote solidarity, but also create new friendships and perspectives. JBA Plus is funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and works closely with the job center and the district to ensure personal and sustainable support.

The response from the participants speaks volumes: many report positive changes in their lives and the development of concrete plans for the future. So far, numerous young people have been able to get back on their professional or educational paths with the help of the agency. Through its work, JBA Plus not only generates individual success, but also makes a significant contribution to the better integration of young people into society.

A wide network

Youth employment agencies, such as JBA Plus, aim nationwide to improve the integration opportunities of young people into the world of work. The idea behind it is based on efficient networking and collaboration between different institutions, which guarantees support “as if from a single source”. Federal Employment Agency explained.

The way these agencies work varies depending on regional conditions, which means that the specific offers are adapted locally. What is important is cooperation at eye level between the individual participants. These include, among others, schools, youth migration services, employer organizations and youth court assistance.

In order to optimize this transition process from school to work, the Youth Employment Agencies Service Center works under the direction of the BMAS. This initiative bundles information and plans collaborations to enable the participating institutions to work together effectively, even beyond their own institution. Furthermore, the digital IT process “YouConnect” was developed, which facilitates collaboration and exchange between partners.

The JBA Plus is not alone in the field. Supported by the many partners and initiatives that are committed to the interests of young people, it makes a significant contribution to a positive future for young people in the Birkenfeld district.
