Film Spring 2025: A festival for cinephiles in Bad Dürkheim!
The film screens will soon be opening in Ludwigshafen and Bad Dürkheim! It shines from May 16th to June 1st in Ludwigshafen and from June 6th to 22nd in Bad Dürkheim Film spring 2025 with numerous international films and an atmosphere that invites you to linger. Over 300 films from different genres and cultures are waiting to be discovered by film-loving viewers. The event has not only made a name for itself in recent years, but also provides easy access to art and culture for everyone.
A highlight of the festival is the ceremonial opening in Ludwigshafen on May 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with the film “OLD WHITE MAN” by Simon Verhoeven. The film “FESTE & FRIENDS” will kick off in the Bad Dürkheim spa park on June 6, 2025 at 6 p.m., followed by a warm welcome from Mayor Natalie Bauernschmitt and Dr. Michael Kötz. Both openings offer the opportunity to linger in the hospitality tent, where lounge chairs and bean bags create a relaxed atmosphere.
Diversity in the film program
The Film spring 2025 promises a colorful selection. From German comedies to French dramas to British love stories and Australian tales, there is something for everyone. The little viewers don't miss out either: two films especially for children round off the program. All films are presented in German, some even barrier-free via the Greta & Starks app.
A special event entitled “Film Art in Conversation” will take place on June 15, 2025. The program designers Daniela and Dr. Michael Kötz was available to discuss the film selection and the importance of film as an art form. Admission to this discussion is free, so all film fans and those interested in culture are invited to share their opinions and thoughts.
Tickets and atmosphere
Tickets can be purchased online from April 25, 2025. Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere - deck chairs, bean bags and food - the festival is a great experience for young and old. Film spring is not only a festival for lovers of good films, but also a place for creative exchange and socializing.
The organization and events show that the film spring focuses on the art of storytelling. With the festival trend, too FIAPF supported, the event has established itself as an important part of the film landscape that does not need to shy away from international competition.
