The Trier University of Applied Sciences has presented its new professors in the environmental planning/environmental technology department. Prof. Dr. Anne Schweizer, a Vice -Department of the Department, welcomed the professors on April 22, 2025, who will work in the coming summer semester 2025. The new disciplines that are intended to expand the academic profile of the university were particularly emphasized.

Development and process engineering course

A central component of the department is the bachelor's degree in environmental and process technology, which has a duration of seven semesters and offers engineering-technical and interdisciplinary training. The students not only learn technological foundations, but also scientific skills to counter the challenges in the areas of climate change and resource protection.

The study structure consists of various modules that are distributed over the semesters:

  • 1. and 2nd semester: basic scientific and technical modules
  • 3. and 4. Semester: Application -oriented depressions
  • 5. Semester: A practical semester in an industrial company with a duration of 18 weeks
