Spring awakening in Dahn: plant exchange, workshops and family festival!

Pirminiusstraße, 66994 Dahn, Deutschland - The spring is in full swing and the fruit and horticultural association Dahn Activities and projects planned on Pirminiusstraße. Particularly noteworthy is the implementation of a wild bee hedge, where the club's children will work over the year. In addition, a new vineyard was created, while the club members are actively working on paving the paths on the club grounds.

An important project is the planned renovation of a large hotel on the site that will only be accessible to insects after the renovation. The tree slices in the entire area are to be planted with shadow -loving bee pasture in order to increase the quality of life of the local fauna.

On May 1st, a plant exchange will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plants can be exchanged here or purchased for donation. The providers are asked to bring their own tables and chairs. There are no fees for hobby gardeners and the proceeds are invested in a new slide. The event is integrated into the may festival, provided with musical performances by the music group Bundenthal and a selection of meals. In addition, a shepherd from Bottenbach will offer pellets made of sheep wool.

The maypole is also set up on May 4th in cooperation with the companies Hufnagel and Burkhart natural stones. In addition, a tractor and agricultural machinery parade is planned on the same day, for which interested parties can register with the board. The meeting point is at 11 a.m. on the station area.

workshops and festivals by the end of the year

Another highlight of the events is the workshop "Healthy Floor and Beautiful Planning" on May 10th. As part of the LAG project "Healthy, Nature & Special Empire-Garden 2.0", topics such as crop rotations, soil quality and plant neighborhood are dealt with from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. Drinks and a snack are available.

On June 15, visitors can expect the honey festival, which will be carried out in cooperation with the Dahner valley beekeeping association. There will be honey sales and the possibility for children to actively participate in hinges. The Thanksgiving Festival on September 28th finally completes the series of events and relies on the club's versatile activities.

Interest in gardening is increasing, especially among young families. The fruit and horticultural association Dahn relies on this demand and is actively committed to the community and the promotion of garden culture.
