On Friday morning there was a dramatic incident at the Untere numberbacher Straße / Xaveriusweg. A boy who was on the way to primary school crossed the street despite the red pedestrian light and was hit by a car. The vehicle, directed by a 37-year-old man from Mainz, drove at Grüner traffic light towards Bretzenheim. The impact was violent - the boy hit the floor hard and came to lie several meters further.

Despite the severity of the accident, the boy remained responsive and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to emergency services.
