Cochem students invent 2D printers for creative pancakes!
In the last few days, the enthusiasm of the students at Cochem High School could not be overlooked. Two creative minds, Linus Kreuter and Noah Nelius, have caused a stir with their innovative 2D printer. This invention is able to bake pancakes in a variety of shapes - a real treat for all lovers of this sweet dish. The idea arose from dissatisfaction with the usual round pancakes, which now, thanks to innovation, can be reinterpreted in an original way. As the Rhine newspaper reports, the two students presented their exciting invention at the Jugend forscht regional and state competition.
But that's not all that the young generation in the region has to offer. Another student, Mairui Zhang from 6c, was able to completely impress at the Mainz-Rheinhessen regional competition in the field of chemistry. With his project “The Secret of the Effervescent Tablet” he won second place. His study focused on which gases were released during the chemical reaction of the effervescent tablets with water and he also tested which liquids the tablets dissolved in. He documented his results in a detailed written work and impressed the expert jury with a strong presentation. The success deserves special mention, after all Mairui had to assert itself against strong competition. You can find more information about his impressive work here Castle online.
Creative ideas from Cologne and the surrounding area
The students' commitment shows how much potential there is in young people. The area of natural sciences in particular offers many exciting projects. The innovative implementation of ideas, like those of Linus and Noah, is an example of how creative thinking can be transformed into practical applications. In addition, participation in competitions such as “Jugend forscht” ensures that students not only demonstrate their skills, but also learn how to present themselves and assert themselves in the competition.
At a time when technological developments and scientific discoveries are becoming increasingly important, these students' creative ideas could achieve great things. Even in the field of 3D printing, where concerns are raised about health risks, the use of innovative technologies such as the new pancake printer is not without appeal. Information about potential dangers of 3D printing can be found at Youth research.
Who would have thought that pancakes could not only invite you to feast, but also to research and experiment? There seems to be a great hunger for creativity in the region and the future looks promising. Our students show us how great things can be achieved with a wealth of ideas and the will to make a difference.
