Motor scooter recovered from the Lieser – who is the mysterious driver?
There is a lot to talk about in Wittlich at the moment, and not without reason. On October 26, 2025, at around 3:00 p.m., a scooter was discovered in the Lieser and targeted by local emergency services. An attentive witness noticed the vehicle, a scooter that was apparently no longer operational, in the water and immediately informed the Wittlich police station. The fire brigade arrived to investigate the situation.
The scooter belonged to a 67-year-old man from Karrstrasse in Wittlich. The exact circumstances of how the vehicle ended up in the water are still unclear and raise questions among investigators. Fortunately, there were no signs of environmental or water contamination as no consumables were detected during the scooter's recovery. The local police are dependent on information about the origin of the scooter and are calling on possible witnesses to come forward. Waste supply in Germany
Overall, it shows that the proper disposal of vehicles - in this case scooters - plays an important role not only in protecting the environment, but also in complying with legal regulations. At a time when environmental protection should concern everyone, it is even more important that the population remains vigilant and reports evidence of illegal waste disposal.
