On Thursday, November 6th, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in the parking lot of the Schünke construction center in Morbach, which caused a stir. Between 11:20 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. there was a collision between two cars, with one of the drivers apparently not paying attention when pulling out of a parking space. After the crash, one of the drivers disappeared in a light-colored vehicle, prompting police to make an appeal to the public.
The front of the vehicle on the passenger side of the fleeing car was probably damaged. The authorities are therefore asking all witnesses who know anything about the accident or the fleeing vehicle to contact the Morbach police station. Escape again
A similar incident occurred on October 30, 2025, when an unknown driver drove off the road on the B327 between the Wederath junction and the ARAL Morbach gas station. The incident occurred between 9:45 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. The shoulder was heavily disturbed and three delineator posts were damaged before the driver drove off without repairing the damage.
The dangers for other road users could not be underestimated given the massive amount of dirt on the road. Here too, investigators are asking for information about the fleeing vehicle or driver.
