Brutal assault in Soest: two men to the fight!

In a terrifying incident in Soest, a 23-year-old Syrian was brutally attacked in the pedestrian zone on Thursday evening at 10:25 p.m. Unknowns picked him up for no reason before one of the men suddenly hit him in the face. The attack quickly escalated when the Syrian went down and continued to be beaten and kicked by the perpetrators. Fortunately, he was able to avoid a bottle attack. When passers-by became aware of the argument, the attackers-a 36-year-old Soester and a 20-year-old Ukrainian-fled with the victim's e-scooter towards the train station and tried in vain to steal his cell phone.

The police were able to arrest the two men at the Walburg goal a short time later, with the Soester resisting. Both suspects were obviously alcoholic and possibly under the influence of drugs. Blood samples have been arranged and they now have to adapt to extensive criminal proceedings. The 23-year-old suffered injuries on his face, but the consequences of the brutally guided attack are still uncertain.
