Serious truck accident on the L141: full closure until midnight!

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident with a truck at 3:20 p.m. on the L141 between the Wittlich-West departure and the farm. The driver lost control, the vehicle overturned and landed in the ditch. The driver was taken to the hospital for security reasons.

The L141 was completely closed for about 30 minutes, while the rescue and salvage work was underway. Firefighters from Wittlich, Salmtal, and Hetzerath as well as the DRK Wittlich, the road maintenance department and the steep crane work were deployed to secure the location and rescue the truck. The road is expected to remain closed until 11 p.m.
