Adventurous summer holidays: nature workshops at Lichtenberg Castle!
The Geoskop Prehistoric World Museum at the historic Lichtenberg Castle invites you to discover nature in a playful way during the summer holidays. Children aged five and over can take part in exciting workshops that deal with the environment and its diversity. The event starts on July 7th and offers a colorful program that ranges from “Sherlock Holz – the tree detectives” to the “Meadow Safari”. These activities are designed to introduce little adventurers to the wonders of nature and encourage their curiosity about the environment.
As die Rheinpfalz reports, the workshops will take place on different days, including:
- „Sherlock Holz – die Baumdetektive“: 7. und 22. Juli
- „Natur mit allen Sinnen“: 8. und 30. Juli
- „Waldameisen“: 9. Juli
- „Blütenmagie“: 10. und 23. Juli
- „Pflanzen auf Reisen“: 11. und 31. Juli
- „Tierspuren entdecken“: 14. Juli

Information and registration
The day programs are active every day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and cost just 10 euros per person. Parents should make sure to give their children backpacking supplies and weatherproof clothing. Registrations can be made by phone on 06381 993450. Further details about the program can be found on the museum's website Urweltmuseum Geoskop.
These initiatives are part of a growing number of offerings that not only bring fun to children, but also raise their awareness of relevant environmental issues. Among other things, there are also programs that work with recycling and natural materials, such as the workshops from Nature and Education. Here, young environmental detectives can learn how important it is to protect our environment through creative projects such as crafting with waste or discovering animal tracks.
Whether you perceive nature sensitively or deal creatively with natural resources - the summer holidays at Lichtenberg Castle promise exciting experiences that will be remembered for a long time by participants both young and old. Come along and join in – there’s a lot to discover!
