Although digital platforms offer numerous opportunities for interaction and learning, they also bring risks such as cyberbullying and uncontrolled content. The digital industry's turnover is estimated at around 542.3 billion euros in 2023, and young people spend an average of 3.4 hours online every day - which is above the recommended limit of 2.5 hours, as pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov determines.
Especially in times of COVID-19, the use of social media and digital games among young people has increased significantly.
