Last weekend, the police carried out large -scale control campaigns in Mainz, which had unpleasant consequences for many drivers. Already on Friday morning, a control point was set up at the "Alte Postlager" in the Neustadt. 59 vehicles were inspected, with numerous traffic administrative offenses found and corresponding warnings were pronounced. The focus was particularly on distractions in road traffic - a serious problem that endangers the safety of all road users.But that was just the beginning! In the night from Sunday to Monday, another checkpoint was built on the B40, where the police targeted drugs and alcohol in road traffic. During the control of 32 vehicles, not only drivers were caught without a valid driver's license, but numerous other administrative offenses also came to light. The police therefore clearly show that it is harder than ever against traffic violations and wants to provide more security on the streets.
