Renery on the B262: Every fifth on the way too quickly!

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the police flash on the B262 between Mendig and Mayen and caught terrifying 363 speed overruns! At a permissible maximum speed of 80 km/h, a driver with breathtaking 160 km/h raced. This means that every fifth vehicle was traveling too quickly - an alarming balance for traffic safety!

The police warn of the dangers of excessive speed, which is still one of the main causes of traffic accidents. Many of the culprits now have to expect juicy fines, points in the traffic centers and even driving bans. The Mayen police inspection announced that further controls are made to ensure that everyone gets safe.
