Doll adventure Elwie and Dritsch” delights children in Neustadt!
The excitement in Neustadt an der Weinstraße is increasing because on August 24, 2025 the time has finally come: The Theater in der Kurve is presenting its new in-house production “Elwie und Dritsch”. The Palatinate adventure story, which is not only suitable for children from preschool age, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Directed by Billy Bernhard, known from the Chausséetheater, the piece is performed by Anne Ebel and supported by enchanting puppets and live music.
In “Elwie and Dritsch” the little viewers accompany the two protagonists, Elwie the chicken and Dritsch the duckling, as they explore the world outside their farm on an exciting hunt for a butterfly. They jump over a fence and get caught in a thunderstorm, which leads them into the mysterious forest, where they encounter strange creatures. An adventurous and educational plot that is intended to reach young hearts in particular.
Performances and admission prices
The first performance takes place as part of the forest festival at the Hohe Loog Haus and admission is free. Further performances at the Theater in der Kurve are planned for September 28th, October 5th and November 9th, 2025, each at 3 p.m. Here, young spectators only have to pay an entrance fee of 9 euros. So it's worth securing your tickets in good time!
Community and culture
With this production, the Theater in der Kurve has not only created a new play, but also offers a wonderful opportunity for families to spend an afternoon together and experience the culture of the region up close. Such events strengthen the sense of community and promote appreciation for theater work in the Palatinate region.
And while preparations for the premiere are in full swing in Neustadt, there is also news in other areas. How The Register reports, Microsoft is introducing changes to the pricing of its online services starting November 1, 2025, which could pose challenges for some customers. While these developments in technology may not have a direct impact on theater production, they do demonstrate how dynamic and diverse the world around us is.
A visit to the Theater in der Kurve not only offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in an exciting adventure, but also a moment of peace and joy in the midst of the daily changes in the world. We can look forward to the stories and creativity that await us there!
