Art meets body: exhibition interface in Pirmasens!

In the Kulturzentrum Forum Alte Post in Pirmasens, the "Interface - body language" exchange exhibition takes place with a fascinating examination of the human figure. On February 5, 2025, the current status of the exhibition, which runs until February 16, 2025 and shows the works of the artists Stephan Müller and Rainer Steve Kaufmann. According to Treffpunkt-pfalz.de, the two artists devote themselves to the human figure, using different artistic formats and techniques.

In the exhibition, sculptures, paintings and graphics are in an exciting dialogue that reveals both contrasts and correspondence. In this way, the term “interface” is made tangible as a physical phase boundary between two conditions of a medium, as the city of Pirmasens also mentioned on its side. The exciting vernissage took place on November 17, 2024 and was opened by a performance accompanied by the two artists.

Stephan Müller from Rodalben and Rainer Steve Kaufmann from Landau are not only characterized by their different approaches, but also by their individual sources of inspiration. Kaufmann's works are shaped by personal memories, while Müller processes social impulses in his work. Both artists attach great importance to drawing, whereby Kaufmann uses ink drawings and Müller has developed a special technology with the chainsaw to create three -dimensional wooden sketches.

On the last day of the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to take part in a tour at 2:00 p.m. where both artists are on site. The participation fee is 7.50 euros and after the tour, visitors can expect the opportunity to talk to the artists during drinks.
