A lot is happening in Pirmasens: The Park Brewery is currently being extensively renovated. Managing director Roald Pauli has ambitious plans to make the brewery fit for the future. The company buildings are currently scaffolded and the work extends across Rodalberstrasse and Zweibrücker Strasse. “The conversion is necessary to optimize the quality of our products and operational processes,” explains Pauli. The scaffolding is erected from the upper company entrance on Rodalber Strasse to Zweibrücker Strasse, which clearly shows that hand work is being done here.
But the renovation is not the only construction site in the region. At the Zweibrücken Hofenfelsstrasse The “Quartier Alte Brewery” project has been at a standstill for three and a half years. A legal dispute with residents seemed to have already been resolved, but now a new insolvency application against Manfred Schenk, the head of the project company, is causing a stir. The standard insolvency procedure was applied for by both Schenk and the tax office, and the director of the Pirmasens district court, Sabine Schmidt-Wilhelm, confirmed the procedure. These developments cast a shadow over the plans for the use of the site.
