Traffic statistics 2024: Less accidents, more injured in the Donnersberg district!

Rockenhausen, Deutschland - In 2024, the Rockenhausen police inspection registered a total of 975 traffic accidents, which means a decline of 49 accidents compared to the previous year. Wild accidents were particularly striking: With 436 cases reported, there were 64 less than in 2023. Nevertheless, the number of accidents with personal damage rose slightly, from 76 to 81, while the total number of injured people decreased compared to the previous year. Tragically, the number of traffic fatalities with two people remains constant.

In a striking way, the accidents caused by young drivers (18 to 24 years) increased again - from 157 to 171. At the same time there was a decline in accidents with older drivers (65 years and older) from 174 to 167. In order to further improve safety on the streets, various preventive measures and traffic controls are planned for this year, which focus on frequent causes of accidents.
