Duttweiler Kerwe 2025: tradition, fun and exciting cycling race!

A very special festival is coming up in Duttweiler: The Kerwe, which will take place from June 20th to 24th, 2025, promises a colorful program and good togetherness for young and old. The official opening will be celebrated on Friday evening, June 20th, at 7:09 p.m. on the village square. Mayor Kay Lützel and the wine princess Eva I. will start the celebrations with lots of music and good cheer. The Lachen-Speyerdorf music association and the children of the Duttweiler exercise daycare center will create a great atmosphere at the opening, while the first glasses of traditional Kerwe wine will be dug up and tasted.

Across the five days of the festival, visitors can look forward to numerous specialties. A total of five drinking establishments, including the volunteer fire department and local wineries such as Rösch and Zöller-Lagas, will ensure your physical well-being. The supporting program also includes festivities for the little guests: On Sunday at 3 p.m. the children's theater “Master Eder and his Pumuckl” will be performed in the schoolyard of the Duttweiler exercise daycare center; admission is free. This is made possible by the Duttweiler Cuvée support association, which also provides food and drinks during the festive season.

A highlight: the bike race

The Kerwe cannot be imagined without the cycling race, which is being held for the 36th time this year for the Württemberg Insurance Grand Prix and starts on Monday, June 23rd at 6 p.m. Organized by the Neustadt Cycling Club, the route runs over 25 laps of 2.45 kilometers each, making a total of 61.3 kilometers. For the safety of race participants, please note that no cars are allowed to be parked along the route.

The Duttweiler Kerwe has a long tradition and has been taking place in conjunction with a cycling race since 1987. The small wine villages of the Palatinate otherwise gain strength through their regional delicacies and a varied program. Visitors can also look forward to live pop music on Friday evenings and handmade rock music on Saturdays. There will also be a Kerwe service with a choir on Saturday evening at 9 p.m.

The Kerwe is not only a festival for the people of Duttweiler, but is also attracting more and more guests who want to experience the atmosphere and traditions of the festival. The event will conclude on Tuesday, June 24th, and everyone is invited to be part of this unforgettable weekend. On these days, Duttweiler becomes the heart of a colorful festival that combines tradition, enjoyment and exciting entertainment.
