New highlight on the wine teaching trail: historical oak barrel in Edenkoben!

Edenkoben, Deutschland - The wine teaching trail in Edenkoben has received a new highlight by installing a restored oak barrel. The approximately 100 -year -old piece barrel has a volume of 1200 liters and thus represents a greater fluid measure than the common fuder, which holds 1000 liters. This impressive installation recognizes the traditional craft of the kitchen, which has played an important role in Edenkoben. The donor of the barrel, which is presented together with two associated kit, is the Fitz-Schneider winery from Edenkoben. As a central attraction, the new barrel is not only described as an eye -catcher, but also part of the wine culture lived. The team of the wine teaching trail is doing everything possible to make the way more informative and lively by looking for historical devices from viticulture, as well as damaged exhibits are restored or replaced.

The wine teaching trail begins at the Weinstraße / Villastraße Kreisel in Edenkoben and leads the hikers towards Rhodt. Visitors go along Villastraße to various stations, including a wooden barrel, a wine press, the love arbor and several types of wine presses, both in cast iron and in a wooden design.

The directions are clear: turn right before the tennis home, then take the next path on the right. The path runs along the Triefenbach, where further exhibits present themselves. The end point of the tour is the Alla-Hopp system, from where the Fritz Claus Weg leads back to Villastraße.
