support from initiatives
The grow initiative is in the context of the nationwide WIN initiative, which Germany would like to establish as a leading location for innovations and growth capital by 2030. Under the direction of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the aim is to improve the framework conditions for startups and scale-ups. The participating companies in this initiative are planning to invest around EUR 12 billion in the German venture capital ecosystem. This could have a positive impact on the financing and growth of new ideas and solutions.
The annual venture capital deal volume in Germany has quadrupled since 2013. In order to strengthen visibility and access to financing options for innovative companies, the Win initiative relies on a comprehensive bundle of measures that, among other things, promotes cooperation between universities, investors and companies and improves tax framework conditions.
