The driver of a silver vehicle, supposedly at least 65 years old, collided with the child and then fled from the scene of the accident. The fleeting is described as strong and with short gray hair.

The child crossed a parking lot on Kerpener Strasse together with his mother around 2 p.m. when the collision came. Witnesses report a white panel van nearby, whose driver noticed the accident and is said to have contacted the fleeing driver.
