Full closure of the L 422: Determination for renovation work in summer 2025!

On April 27, 2025, near News announces that the L 422 between the Ingelheimer partnership circle and the A 60 motorway will be fully blocked during the summer holidays 2025. The period of the full closure is from July 07, 2025 to August 15, 2025 and is necessary for construction reasons and to ensure occupational safety. The renovation work affects a distance of about 600 meters in the direction of the Ingelheim-Ost.

The asphalt work on the L 422 must be carried out due to the safety -relevant requirements. The construction work includes the renewal of the road surface in the high installation. For the passengers, a redirection via the parallel A 60 motorway is planned. In addition, the partnership group tournament road/L 422 remains navigable. An access to the Ingelheim-Ost motorway junction is possible from Heidesheim via L 422 (Binger Straße).

Details on the traffic situation and financing

According to information from the LBM Rheinland-Pfalz , the traffic load on the L 422 is around 4,400 vehicles a day in both directions. The construction costs amount to a total of 100,000 euros. The construction route is designed for a week and, as already mentioned, is carried out during the summer vacation. The exact start of construction will be announced in the near future.

A well -developed transport infrastructure is crucial for the efficiency of traffic and security. A sustainable improvement in the infrastructure, as is made in this case, plays an important role in reducing traffic jams and increasing the quality of life. According to the PTV Group it is necessary that infrastructure is planned in order to meet the future requirements of traffic planning.
