Mauschbach celebrates a colorful summer festival with boules and lots of music!

Next weekend, Mauschbach will once again be in celebration mode! On July 12th and 13th, 2025, the motto in the leisure area near the grill hut is: Welcome to the “Mauschbach Summer Festival”. This year there are a variety of program items consisting of a colorful mix of socializing, sporting activities and the exchange of different cultures. The festival has its roots in the former “Game without Borders” competitions, which have now become a local tradition. “We are looking forward to many visitors celebrating with us and enjoying the various offers,” said local mayor Bernhard Krippleben.

The highlight of the first day of the festival is an international boules tournament that begins on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. A total of 40 players, including many French, are expected. Krippleben announced that 20 rounds of games would be played, which corresponds to around 72 duels. Things will be exciting on a newly built boules area! Even if the initial plans for further games such as the soccer tournament could not be implemented due to insufficient teams, the boules tournament still ensures a good atmosphere and competition.

A colorful supporting program

The first hours of the festival are suitably accompanied by music by Serge Fritsch after the boules tournament. On Sunday morning things continue spiritually: At 11 a.m. the festival visitors gather for the ecumenical service, which is also enriched by the little ones from the “Storchennest” daycare center. The anticipation of lunch together is great - there are regional delicacies such as dumplings with bacon sauce, schnitzel in various variations and a vegetarian dish, so there is something for every palate.

In the afternoon, things will continue in a child-friendly way: the family game “Game without Limits” will be on the program from 2 p.m. The little ones can also look forward to a bouncy castle and pony rides, which provide additional fun on both days. There is also a cake table that invites you to snack and brings a little bit of home and community closer to all visitors.

Looking for committed helpers

The summer festival is not only a celebration of the village community, but also shows how sport and festivals can contribute to integration. The exchange fostered through events like this strengthens community and creates connections between different cultures. The idea that sport can also represent a unifying element for people of different backgrounds is more important today than ever, as scientific analyzes show and make clear the need for intercultural opening of sports clubs. This reinforces the importance of events like the Mauschbach Summer Festival and their direct influence on social integration.

So, pack up your family and friends and come to Mauschbach! It promises to be a happy and varied weekend with socializing, sport and international understanding at the forefront - the perfect recipe for a successful end to summer.
