Heavy motorcycle accident in Mettlach: Witnesses urgently wanted!

On April 3, 2025, around 6:15 a.m. on the L 177 in Mettlach-Orcholz, a serious traffic accident occurred. A car turned into the L 177 when a motorcyclist drove up the road at an excessive speed and came to the serious collision. The 48-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in the impact and had to be brought to a clinic in Saarbrücken with a rescue helicopter.

The police commissioned an expert to create an accident report, while the L 177 was partially closed during the accident. Witnesses who have observed something about the vehicles involved or the accident themselves are asked to report to the Merzig police.
