Rapid chase in Munich: 27-year-old escapes from the police!

In a spectacular chase in Munich on January 31, 2025, a 27-year-old driver from the Rosenheim district fled to the police. At 02:20 a.m. the man was initially stopped on Lilienthalallee after his striking driving style caught the eye. When the police wanted to stop him, he ignored the attitude signal and accelerated strongly, overturned several red traffic lights and ignored all traffic regulations. This was reported by the tz.de. .

The driver's persecution was extremely complicated and included the use of 25 police strips and a helicopter. The fleeting drove over Ingolstädter Straße to the A99 towards Aschheim before finally braking abruptly on the left lane of the highway. After a short stop, however, he accelerated again and continued his escape over the A9 to Allershausen, where he then turned and went back to Munich. Finally, the persecution ended at 3:40 a.m. in the Landshuter Allee Tunnel.

The dramatic stop

In the tunnel there was another incident: the man drove backwards against a civilian emergency vehicle, with low damage. After this failed attempt to escape, he was temporarily arrested. Due to the rapid behavior of the driver, there is now a procedure for an illegal car race in the room. The question remains in public how such psychological abnormalities can arise and what long -term consequences they bring with them. The German Road Safety Council (DVR) calls for comprehensive research projects to better understand the psychological consequences of traffic accidents. Studies show that a significant number of those involved in the accident suffers from psychological impairments, which underlines the need for professional help. The DVR emphasizes that in particular people who felt helpless in the situation have a higher risk of psychological problems, ”the DVR explains in a current plea for more research and education on psychological consequences.

The psychological consequences caused by road traffic accidents are complex and often under diagnosed. The clarification of psychotraumatization, which can occur in those involved in the accident or witnesses, is therefore crucial. It is required that the supply processes for such patients are improved in order to minimize long -term effects. First helpers, police and clinic staff are to be sensitized.

The Munich traffic police are now taking over further investigations. Witnesses that have been endangered or damaged are asked to report on 089/6216-3322.
