In the early morning hours, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A9 in the direction of Munich. A 30-year-old BMW driver crashed into the rear of a saddle train between the Dittersdorf and Schleiz junctions. The impact was so violent that the driver of the BMW was trapped in his vehicle and seriously injured.

immediately after his rescue he was flown to a nearby hospital with a helicopter. Fortunately, the driver of the saddle train was not injured. Due to the extensive rescue and recovery measures, the Munich directional lane had to be completely blocked for about two hours, which led to significant traffic disruptions.
