A 52-year-old building contractor from the Börde district has to dig deep into the pocket: The Magdeburg main customs office has sentenced him to a total of 1,750 euros after he withheld and misappropriated in 19 cases. The financial control undeclared work met with considerable irregularities when examining his business documents.

It turned out that the entrepreneur employed several “independent” employees who were actually considered to be employees who were subject to social security contributions. These bogus self -employed goods were bound by instructions in the company and worked without official work contracts. The entrepreneur admitted the allegations during the main hearing.
