On April 16, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B104 between Neubrandenburg and Sponholz. A 46-year-old Lithuanian pedestrian who led a bicycle wanted to cross the street and was recorded by a 19-year-old German by a Mercedes-Benz. The driver noticed the man too late, which led to a frontal collision. The pedestrian was seriously, but not life -threatening and brought to the Neubrandenburg Clinic.

The passengers in the Mercedes were unharmed, but needed pastoral support. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at around 20,000 euros. The federal road was closed for several hours during the accident. In order to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident, an appraiser of the Dekra was consulted at the instruction of the public prosecutor.
