A dramatic scenario occurred on Monday evening, May 5, 2025, when a freight train on the route between Magdeburg and Braunschweig almost caught a reckless 66-year-old. The train driver discovered the alcoholized man at 10:29 p.m. in the track area and immediately initiated a quick braking. Fortunately, the man was not hit, but the Situation led to a shock in the train crew and an immediate emergency report to Deutsche Bahn.
