Romanian traveler in Emmerich: arrest warrant at the ICE check!

On Monday, March 31, 2025, a 26-year-old Romanian at the train station in Emmerich was checked by the federal police when he arrived from the Netherlands with the Intercity Express 123. During the review of his personal details, it turned out that there was an arrest warrant from the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office. The man was sought for the extent of services and had to pay a fine of 150 euros or take a ten daily prison sentence.

Since he could not pay the fine, the Romanian was brought to the prison in Duisburg after the police measures were completed.
