Heppenheim, Deutschland - Criminal Director Benjamin Henne was officially appointed head of the Bergstrasse police department on Wednesday. Police President Björn Gutzeit presented him with the certificate of appointment and honored Henne's leadership qualities, which he had proven to demonstrate since 2024 after Juliane Ries had left the position. Henne can look back on a broad experience that has led him to his current role over various positions, including at the Hessian State Criminal Police Office.

In his speech, Henne emphasized the advantages of the Bergstrasse district and the challenges that this region offers. He sees his team well equipped and motivated to meet the daily requirements of police work and thanks for the great efforts of his employees. Henne is looking forward to the exciting work as a director and the collaboration with his team to further improve the security situation.
