Rapid car racing in Weinheim: Police are looking for witnesses!

A wild car racing on Monday evening in Mannheim caused excitement! Shortly before 11 p.m., a witness observed how a dark blue BMW raced over the Suez Canalweg at an insane speed - trapped by a black VW. The two drivers pulled all traffic rules overboard and arcing rapidly on the mountain road, whereby they were traveling with an estimated 100 km/h towards Rosenbrunnen stop. The VW even used the oncoming lane to overtake the BMW!

The police were quickly on hand. A patrol car was able to stop the VW a little later. The 19-year-old driver, who is in the trial period, was checked. His driver's license was immediately confiscated and the car was retained. Fortunately, there was no evidence of alcohol or drug abuse! But the alleged driver of the BMW is still on the run. The police are asking witnesses to report important information on 06201/ 1003-0 at the Weinheim police station.
