Diversity Day 2025: Chemnitz celebrates variety and tolerance with exciting events!
The Technical University of Chemnitz (TUC) is preparing for the 3rd Diversity Day, which will take place on May 20, 2025. This initiative, which has been carried out annually since 2012, aims to promote diversity and inclusion in organizations. tu-chemnitz.de reports that the TUC is committed to a work and study environment that is shaped by tolerance and freedom of discrimination. The Stifterverband for German Science e. V. attests to the university that it sees the diversity of its students and employees as an opportunity.
The program of the diversity day is largely made by Prof. Dr. Anja Strobel and Karla Kebsch in cooperation with other actors from the TUC and the city of Chemnitz. All events are free of charge and are open to both the university and the city society. The day will be in the foyer of the new lecture hall and seminar building by Prof. Dr. Anja Strobel opened.

Another highlight will be the opening of the exhibition "Discussion substance [E]", which deals with the life situations of LSBTIQ* people in Saxony. Furthermore, the flagship project "Lived neighborhood" of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz in 2025 is presented.
Culinary and interactive offers
Visitors can also look forward to culinary offers. Special dishes around the apple are served in the cafeteria, which were collected by project partners. In addition, a taster course in sign language is offered in the afternoon, for which registration is required.
