New digital platform Eduapplication for international applicants started!

The Technical University of Chemnitz successfully launched its new digital application platform "Eduapplication" for international applicants from the "Advanced Manufacturing" master's program. As TU Chemnitz , the platform was developed in a three-month pilot project by TUCED-Institute for Transfer and further education GmbH, in cooperation with the Department of Academic and Student Agency. The initiative aims to significantly simplify the application process for international students.

Numerous members of the structural units of the university were involved in the project. This includes employees of the department as well as various degrees of course and students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Under the direction of Chancellor Peter Bernshausen and Prof. Dr. Stephan Odenwald was put into operation with a symbolic push of a button. Prof. Odenwald praised the productive cooperation of everyone involved.

The university currently has over 700 applications for the "Advanced Manufacturing" program. The project team is made up of various experts:

In addition, the students have a lot of information available. So university start is used to coordinate applications for basic courses in Germany. It is important to consider the upcoming deadlines. The application portal will not be available from Friday, April 4, 2025 to Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 9:00 a.m. During this time, registration, information calls and data adjustments are not possible.

The actual application phase for the winter semester 2025/26 begins on April 28, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Applications can be submitted via the Hochschulstart platform, which also offers a FAQ area to clarify frequent questions. The Foundation for Higher Education Admission also recommends obtaining information from the Federal Employment Agency, the Hochschulkompass and the universities in order to optimally design the application process.
