Jenoptik opens high-tech factory in Dresden: 100 million for innovation!
Dresden, Deutschland - In the Dresden Airportpark, Jenoptik AG opened a new high-tech factory after two and a half years of construction. With investment costs of almost 100 million euros, this marks the highest individual investment in the company's history. The opening took place in the presence of customers, partners and political representatives. CEO Stefan Traeger, site manager Andreas Morak as well as Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer and Dresden Mayor Dirk Hilbert pressed the symbolic start button for the new facility. Traeger emphasized the successful implementation of the factory under the challenging conditions of increasing prices and scarce resources.
The new factory combines the previous locations in Dresden under one roof and currently employs almost 100 people with the aim of reaching 120 employees by the end of the year. Jenoptik does not produce semiconductors in this facility, but requires precise technologies for the production of systems and components for chip production. In the new production facility, microoptics and microoptic sensors are manufactured, which are used in the semiconductor lithography and laser material processing. These microoptics offer high precision in the smallest space and flat design and steer light using micro- and nanostructures that are generated by a lithography process.
environmentally friendly construction and high standards
The production takes place in the clean rooms of the ISO 5 and ISO 3, which meet high demands on freedom of vibration and temperature. In addition to the technological equipment, the new factory also meets high environmental standards. Jenoptik strives for the "KfW 40 Standard" and the "Leed Gold Standard Certification". With the use of recycling materials, the installation of a photovoltaic system and an energy-efficient building envelope, a sustainable building approach is also being followed.
A central chemical system ensures economical consumption of chemical substances, which also contributes to the environmental friendliness of the factory. In today's world, clean rooms are an indispensable infrastructure, especially in the areas of semiconductor, electronics, optics as well as pharmacy and biotechnology. They do not automatically guarantee a pure production, but the systems used, components and materials play a crucial role in product sovereignty. Due to its equipment and high purity standards, the Jenoptik factory contributes to ensuring the quality and safety of the systems produced, which is of central importance in the industry.
areas of application and produced components
The microoptics and microoptic sensors made in the new factory are used in a variety of use in chip production and technological manufacturing processes, as well as in highly precise and flexible lighting positioning. These individual components are often only a few micrometers and enable the combination to miniaturize scanning and switching systems. This is how Jenoptik positions itself as an important player in high -precision production.
