Schinkelwache, 01067 Dresden, Deutschland - On February 8, 2025, a special flower sale started in the Opera Bar in the Schinkelwache, which emerged directly from the floral arrangements of the 100th Semper Opera Ball in Dresden. Already at 9:30 a.m. a long line was formed in front of the bar, while Hansjörg König, managing director of the University Medicine Dresden Foundation, received the flowers from the florists at 7 a.m. The guests of the ball, who celebrated the festive occasion with around 2,000 people, were given the opportunity to take home bouquets for donation to support a good cause.

The donations collected flow directly into the Saxon Children's Palliative Center (SKPZ), which looks after around 70 children with life -shortening diseases. The center of the center is made up of 18 members, including doctors, nurses and therapists. Maria Janisch, head of the SKPZ, pointed out that the goal of the campaign is the procurement of a total of 4,000 euros for the establishment of a consulting room that has so far been missing and is urgently needed. In the previous year, similar actions were financed by an ultrasound device for the center.
