Schkeuditz: action, fun and relaxation for everyone

1st place: karting in sax racing

Adrenaline: How real racing cars heat the little karts across the track. The drivers, old and young alike euphoric, are focused in every curve. In the "Sax Racing" in Dölzig, helmets and suitable overalls are mandatory - and not without reason: the karts reach a speed of up to 50 km/h. However, this is certain: "If you stick to the rules, Karten is safe," promises David Hofmann. He knows his way around karting. With a bit of practice, even participation in one of the in -house races is in prospect.

Opening times: Wednesday to Friday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 0 a.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

2nd place: Play laser tag in the "lasersax"

During the game laser day in "Lasersax", not only endurance is required. "It depends on tactical understanding," reveals an employee. The players compete against each other on 800 square meters and two floors. At least two people have to be, but it is particularly fun in groups. The arena in the "lasersax" is almost completely dark, only illuminated by UV light and fluorescent markings. The task is to maneuver yourself unobtrusively through the course without being caught by the opponent. Each of the participants is equipped with a "weapon" laser with which he tries to score as many points as possible for himself and his team. Because one thing is certain: only one will go out as the winner.

3rd place: "Farbrausch 3D" black light mini golf

3D glasses and various black light effects not only bring the rooms to life, but also challenge the ambition of the players. With a lot of calm and sensitivity you have to hit the golf ball to successfully complete the 18 lanes on black light mini golf. "A breathtaking experience", promises Heiko van Vliet, managing director of "Farbrausch 3D", on his website.

Opening times: Tuesday to Thursday 3 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., Fridays 3pm to 10pm, Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday 11 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.

4th place: Service Schkeuditz

stars are rarely seen in the sky next to the DHL wholesaling. Fortunately for the people in Schkeuditz, one of the locations of the Northern Saxon observatory is located directly in the center of the district town and invites you to regular events. The nice thing about the observatory? "That you can enjoy the stars in any weather," says teacher Peter Schilling. In the integrated planetarium it is possible to project the current starry sky to the ceiling of the dome hall at any time - even with a covered sky.

Opening times: depending on the events. Heaven observations take place every third Friday of the month.

5th place: Bowling in the "Alte Kino"

strike! The “Altes Kino” restaurant has four bowling alleys, where interested parties can demonstrate their own skills almost every day. Some have already taken it seriously: In the rooms of the former cinema from GDR times, some have already become a permanent bowler. "We have a lot of regular guests. I can't say exactly how many," explains owner Alexander Stamm.

Opening times: Monday and Thursday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday 12 noon to 10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 12 noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
