Deutsche Telekom AG, a leading provider in the field of telecommunications, has recently announced considerable progress in the district of Leipzig. These improvements not only have technical advantages, but also contribute to strengthening the entire community.

In the past few months, a location in the municipality has been optimized to expand the LTE supply. Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Telekom, explains that the need for mobile data services is increasing steadily - with an increase of around 30 percent annually. "That's why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," he emphasizes. currently, Telekom operates 121 mobile phone locations in the Leipzig district, with a household coverage of around 99 percent. A further 17 locations will also be planned in the next three years to further strengthen the existing infrastructure. In addition, extensions to 59 radio masts with new LTE or even 5G technologies are in progress.

A central aspect of this expansion is the cooperation with the municipalities and the owners of land. This cooperation is essential to secure the necessary areas for new mobile phone locations. Deutsche Telekom encourages property owners who want to provide a location to report to Deutsche Freisturm GmbH, which is responsible for the construction and management of the mobile phone locations.
