The teacher association hopes that admission will be successful again
Berlin. The President of the German Teachers' Association, Heinz-Peter Meidinger, hopes in his own words that "the big start will be successful again in mid-February". Accordingly, he commented in the "Augsburg General".
The association therefore supports the decision of the federal and state governments of largely closed the facilities by February 14th. "Schools are part of the infection process," said Meidinger. The high numbers must also be reacted to there. "To loosen the schools from time to time and to close them again within a very short time would be the worst thing you can do."

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the Prime Minister of the federal states agreed on Tuesday after hours of consultations for the corona crisis that the restrictions for schools and day care centers applicable in the federal states will initially be maintained by February 14th.
This means that the schools remain closed depending on the federal state or that the attendance is subject to attendance. Exceptions for final classes are still possible. Daycare centers are also closed or parents are asked not to bring children to care.
Meidinger renewed his proposal for a voluntary additional year, in which students who were particularly affected by school abrasion could catch up with the material again and with a timetable tailored to them.
