The border controls with Germany are tightened
Austria was concerned about the further spread of the corona virus and announced that the border controls with Germany and other neighboring countries massively tighten from Monday. "The border controls serve as a wave breaker for infection chains that are becoming increasingly dangerous due to new virus mutations," said Interior Minister Karl Nehammer.
In the future, every traveler will have to present a negative coronate test when crossing the border. There are no more exceptions. A ten -day quarantine should also be observed. Like other travelers, commuters now have to register online and show a negative coronate test once a week. In order to prevent possible border crossings from tourists, the authorities also announced increased controls in ski areas.
