Leipzig. It is already a small tradition every autumn: the LVZ, together with the Saxony Chamber of Notary, invites readers to a free information event. It is about questions of the will, the inheritance and about powers of powers. How can the emergency of life be legally secured, and what to do for relatives?

After the reader forum, which has always been heavily attended for many years, took place in the small hall of the Gewandhaus, the LVZ itself has been the host since 2018. So also for this year. For November 7th, the LVZ readership is again invited to get first-hand advice from a Saxon notary round in the media house on Peterssteinweg. The evening is moderated by Sven Kochale, well -known voice by the news radio "MDR Aktuell".

Consumer center Saxony is included

Focus of the reader forum will be questions about the power of attorney and dealing with relatives in need of care. That is why this time the Saxons (VZS) consumer advice center (VZS) is also included in the LVZ dome. The Leipzig notaries Dr. Eva Schnipzig (Leipzig) and Peer Mißler (Leipzig) and VZS consultant Micaela Schwanenberg will explain why, for example, a power of attorney is so important for emergencies

"It prevents a judicial supervisor from ordering in an emergency and enables relatives to act as a representative," explains Tim Hofmann, Managing Director of the Saxony Chamber of Notaries. However, very few knew how such a power of attorney should look. Errors are widespread, says Hofmann.

Templates from the Internet and non -lawyers are often inadequate in terms of content, he warns. "So that the power of attorney really helps, it should be legally checked and at best designed by a notary," advises Hofmann.

What the legally waterproof power of attorney then costs, the LVZ reactions can also be informed in the dome that evening.
