As part of the international supplier fair, which takes place every two years in Leipzig, the focus is on digitization of manufacturing this year. In particular, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as that of Planat GmbH, are crucial for competitiveness in the industry. The fair is visited by numerous companies, including the Mit exhibitors tool construction Winkelmühle, Optima and Karl Naumann. This event will take place in Hall 4 (Stand E21) from March 11th to 14th and is an important point of contact for the entire value chain of the production industry.

A current study by Planat shows that the use of ERP systems is considered indispensable for the digital transformation of companies. Of the 196 medium-sized companies from the manufacturing trade, 76 percent consider the ERP system to be “very important” for their digital strategy. Other systems such as DMS (document management system) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) are also becoming more important and are important for 73 and 71 percent of companies. These findings illustrate that modern requirements for digitization can no longer be ignored.

The managing directors of Planat, Christian Biebl, emphasizes how important precise planning and current data are for decision -making in the company. "Improved cost control can only be achieved if fewer spontaneous decisions have to be made," explains Biebl. The production industry in particular is under pressure to adapt to the rapidly changing market conditions, which requires the use of efficient software solutions.

For many companies, the update of their systems is the first step to remain competitive in the long term. Outdated ERP solutions can often not provide the required data and information that is necessary for modern management. With its ERP software FEPA, Planat offers a solution that has become a standard in the industry since its introduction over 40 years ago. FEPA can be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements of the companies and offers the possibility to add different modules, such as DMS or CRM.

Mass Z is not only a platform for products and technologies, but also an important place for exchange between service providers and companies. It is intended to encourage the actors in the industry to look outside the box and develop innovative solutions that advance the entire industry. The accompanying Intec Messe also illustrates the synergies between the various segments of industrial production.

In a time when digital transformation for most companies comes first, Planat shows with its solutions how important it is to proactively react to changes as a company. Biebl emphasizes: "Customer satisfaction and long -term investment security are our top priority - we not only support our customers in implementing, but also in the long term." Through tailor -made solutions, planate contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of the producing medium -sized company and helps companies to successfully assert themselves in an increasingly digital world.
