Roßwein. Anna Finke is an office clerk at the Roßweiner special scaffolders. The 20-year-old did not go to the office on Thursday. Instead of at the desk, she spent her working day in the Roßwein workshops and checked circulation valves in one of the four assembly groups. For this, Anne Riedel sat on the computer with the scaffolders.
The Roßweiner workshops for people with disabilities are not ordinary workshops, but serious partners of industry. This is emphasized by the head of the workshops and would like to reduce prejudices. To enable this, Roßwein took part in the shift change for the first time. Due to the exchange of work for one day, fear of contact and prejudices could be broken down.
An example of the job exchange is Anna Finke, an office clerk trainee at the Roßweiner special scaffolders. Instead of going to the office as usual, she spent a day in the Roßwein workshops, more precisely in one of the four assemblies. There she had the task of checking circulation valves. In the meantime, Anne Riedel was sitting on the computer with the scaffolders.
This shift change enabled both young women to take new perspectives and to get to know each other's work. It promoted the understanding of the different activities and the recognition of the work of the other.
The head of the Roßweiner Workshops emphasizes that the workshops are not handicrafts, but serious partners of industry. By participating in the shift change, she wants to strengthen awareness and show that working in the workshops plays a valuable and important role.
The job exchange at Roßwein not only enables the breakdown of fear of touch and prejudices, but also promotes dialogue and the coexistence between the different work areas. Due to the change of perspective, a better understanding of the challenges and tasks of the other can be obtained.
