The district association has been managed by Franziska Mascheck from Frohburg for a year. The 44-year-old member of the Bundestag runs for one of the two chairposts on Saturday. The Grimmaer Ingo Runge, 53-year-old employee at Deutsche Bahn, also applies. At the beginning of the event, Saxony's SPD boss Hennig Homann will keep a greeting, according to the state association in advance.

In addition to the election of the new ten -member board, several applications are dealt with. Among other things, it is about cuts in the Central German S-Bahn network, which the SPD local association Borna discusses. Accordingly, a significant deterioration in rail connection will be threatened in the course of the new traffic service from 2025.

Criticism from Borna: 30-minute cycle should be thinned out

At the moment it is in the room that the consistent 30-minute cycle should be thinned out. This would also be a fatal signal with a view to the settlement of a branch of the Federal Agency in Borna.

Another application from the district board is entitled "Design the district together-manage changes socially just".
