The anticipation for the International German Gymnastics Festival 2025 is growing: from May 28th to June 1st, Leipzig becomes a home of sports enthusiasts from all over the world. This year the city is taking a significant position, not only as a sports facility, but as a center of the community, which is brought together by sport.

The gymnastics festival is much more than just a competition - it offers a platform that promotes the exchange between participants and spectators. The event expects about 80,000 active athletes and numerous guests who will take part in various workshops, participation offers and traditional competitions. This diversity not only addresses competitive athletes, but also width and recreational athletes and makes the gymnastics a unique experience.

The accreditation has been open to media representatives since March 3, 2025 and remains available until May 12, 2025. Interested journalists can register via the media area on the official website of the gymnastics festival. This possibility not only opens up access to the competitions, but also to the numerous events that accompany the sporting goings -on in Leipzig.

The role of the media is crucial to make the diverse aspects of the gymnastics festival visible. Reporting on the event not only promotes interest in gymnastics, but also helps to strengthen and spread the sense of community in sport. It is important that the stories of the participants and the special atmosphere of the gymnasium are carried into the public.

In addition, the European Turn European Championships are pointed out, which also take place in Leipzig. Journalists who want to take part in both events are asked to find out more about the respective accreditation systems, since the capacity is limited here. Media representatives have the opportunity to report comprehensively about the sports town of Leipzig and its importance for gymnastics.

The gymnastics festival 2025 not only represents a sporting highlight, but also symbolizes the connection of people from different cultures that are enthusiastic about the same sport. This event will make an important contribution to strengthening the sense of community in the German sports landscape.

We look forward to welcoming visitors from all over the world in Leipzig and experiencing unforgettable moments together!
