Bärlauchtbad in the Audwald: Six thieves snapped!

Leipziger Auwald, Deutschland - In a rapid campaign, the police officers from Oschatz and Leipzig caught six suspects during the night who transported almost 100 kilograms of wild garlic tubers in a dark Volvo! At around 0:40 a.m., the officers noticed the vehicle, and after immediate control, the trunk turned out to be a real treasury - filled with shopping bags and harvest tools, accompanied by an overwhelming smell of wild garlic. The men aged 27, 29 and 39, all Russian origin, had apparently struck in the Leipzig Auwald.

But that wasn't all! Shortly after the first arrest, the officers in the Auwald came across another BMW and three other alleged thieves (26, 32 and 35 years old), who were also on the road with filled bags of around 50 kilograms of wild garlic. The black market value of the valuable plants amounts to several thousand euros! Two of the men had recently been caught in Borna in the event of a wild garlic theft. Now the group is investigating an investigation into gang theft - a spectacular catch for the police!
