Exhibition on the development of the Matthäikirchhof in the city office - City of Leipzig

The 1.9 hectare, largely unused area in the Leipzig city center is to be developed into a mixed city district with public special functions. An archive for Stasi documents and the "Forum for Freedom and Civil Rights" (working title) are planned here. The area is funded as part of the federal program "National Urban Development Projects".

22 Silentboards provide an insight into the project, the participation process and the first interim results of citizen participation. Among other things, there was already an online survey, three subject-specific specialist workshops and action days on the topic of Richard-Wagner-Platz. Further participation events will follow in the coming year. The exhibition will continue to be expanded in the future with these results and repeatedly presented to the public.

The display boards are now presented in the city office until Friday, November 26, 2021. Due to the pandemic situation and the applicable Corona Protection Ordinance, a visit is only possible for vaccinated or recovered citizens (2G regulation), appropriate evidence must be carried.
