Citizens' survey on the market hall begins - City of Leipzig

The online survey is included in an independent report, which should examine the conditions under which conditions and with which concept a market hall can be operated economically. In addition to the citizens, retailers and marketers are also interviewed and the potential of the city and the location are examined.

The city commissioned the Fürth-Message company SK Location & municipality of advisory GmbH to the market hall report. It is aimed at all households in Leipzig and people who commute to work in the city. The report should be present until the end of the year, in the first quarter of next year with the political bodies - and ultimately contribute to the decision -making process of the city council.

The answer takes about ten minutes. The results are anonymized by the survey company and used exclusively for urban planning and statistical surveys.

The central market hall on Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz has been supplied with food and everyday objects for more than fifty years. It was built in the 1890s according to the plans of the city architect Hugo Licht, was severely damaged in the Second World War and finally torn down in the 1950s.
